At Peace House, I am committed to providing massage therapy services in a safe, ethical, and professional environment. These Policies and Procedures are designed to protect the well-being of my clients and myself while ensuring the highest standard of care.
By receiving services at Peace House, clients acknowledge and agree to the following policies.
Intake and Consent
All clients must complete an intake form prior to receiving massage therapy services. This form gathers relevant health and personal information to ensure massage therapy is provided safely and appropriately.
Clients are required to review and sign an informed consent form acknowledging:
Understanding the nature and purpose of massage therapy
Awareness of potential benefits and risks
Disclosure of any medical conditions, injuries, or contraindications
The right to ask questions and discontinue services at any time
Clients must inform their massage therapist of any changes in health status before each session. All records are confidential and securely maintained in accordance with privacy laws and professional standards.
Sanitation and Hygiene
Peace House maintains strict sanitation and hygiene practices.
Massage tables, tools, and equipment are cleaned and disinfected between each client.
Fresh linens are used for every session and laundered appropriately.
Therapists practice proper hand hygiene before and after each session.
Clients are expected to arrive clean and disclose any contagious conditions prior to service.
Services may be postponed or declined if sanitation standards cannot be met.
Ethics
Peace House upholds the highest ethical standards.
Professional boundaries are maintained at all times.
Any sexual, suggestive, or inappropriate behavior is strictly prohibited.
All clients are treated with dignity and respect, without discrimination.
Client confidentiality is honored except where disclosure is required by law.
Therapists practice only within their scope of training and licensure.
Violation of ethical standards may result in immediate termination of services.
Operations
Appointments are scheduled based on availability
Clients are expected to arrive on time; late arrivals may result in shortened sessions.
Cancellation and rescheduling must follow Peace House’s stated policy
Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.
Peace House reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services for safety or policy concerns
All sessions are documented accurately and professionally.
Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
Provide accurate and complete health information
Communicate comfort levels and preferences during sessions
Follow pre- and post-session care instructions
Treat therapist respectfully
Adhere to scheduling, cancellation, and payment policies
Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in refusal of future services.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
I kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged up to the full cost of the scheduled session, unless the cancellation is due to illness.
Same-day illness cancellations will not be charged.
No-show appointments (failure to arrive without notice) will be charged 100% of the session fee.
By booking an appointment, you authorize us to charge the card on file according to this policy.
