integrative massage therapy to feel embodied and empowered
about me
Hello friends and neighbors, welcome to Peace House. I’m Emma, a licensed massage therapist trained at the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy. My journey in massage therapy has been driven by a deep commitment to creating an empathetic and nurturing environment where those in my community feel cared for and supported.
I believe that self-care is a vital part of healing and personal growth. My goal is to provide an accessible, safe and supportive space where bodywork feels comfortable. Whether you’re seeking rehabilitation from a surgery, injury, or you simply wish to enhance your mental well-being, I’m here to provide client centered massage therapy tailored to your needs.
I offer a range of session lengths, from 45 to 120 minutes, as well as more focused sessions for concerns like headaches or post-surgical recovery. Whether you're looking to simply relax or work through a specific issue, my approach is therapeutic and personalized to you. By filling out a thorough intake, we can build a plan of care suited to your body and goals.
I'm here to help you not only recover, but to feel embodied in the process. “Embodiment" refers to a felt sense of being present in and connected to your own body, rather than experiencing it as distant, tense, or purely “troubled spots” to be fixed. Many people who deal with chronic pain, injury or high stress end up somewhat disconnected from their bodies, either persistently bracing against pain or unconscious to it. I want my clients to leave sessions not just feeling better, but more aware of their bodies as a whole, interconnected system.
Using techniques like Myofascial and Trigger Point Release, Craniosacral Therapy, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage, I hope to support your physical and mental well-being — and help you celebrate your path to empowerment through safe and compassionate touch.
Thank you for considering me as a part of your self-care journey. I look forward to the opportunity to support you.
